Wrap-Around Case Packer

This is a high-speed, continuous motion, Wrap-Around Case Packer. Our Wrap-Around Case Packer can automatically produce Regular Slotted Cases (RSC’s) of cans, bottles, jars or other products at over 40 cases per minute!

Wrap-Around Case Packer has infeed conveyors that provide smooth product grouping and side-loading of your product into the case. This precise control of the product produces a superior packaged case that can often eliminate the need for inserts/partitions. Because the case is wrapped around the product, it forms a more rigid box with a smaller footprint. A Wrap-Around Case Packer can provide significant savings in several ways:

• A partition inserting machine may no longer be needed. This special machine for putting the inserts/partitions into the case is no longer required. The cost of a partition machine can be well over $100,000. This is money saved that can be used for other improvements or towards the purchase of the Wrap-Around Case Packer.
• The insert/partition machines are often the source of Low OEE on many packaging lines. By removing this machine from the equation by using our Wrap-Around Case Packer the improved OEE will often pay for the new machine.
• Reduced corrugated consumption is another key feature of our Wrap-Around Case Packer. This reduction in consumables can be as great as 20% and provide the savings to cost justify the purchase of a Wrap-Around Case Packer

How the Wrap-Around Case Packer Works: Cans, Bottles, Jars or other product is fed to the packer in single file, where it is put into lanes with a proprietary lane feeding system and then the product is grouped. The groups of products enter the Wrap-Around Case Packer and corrugated blanks are formed around the product and hot-melt glue is applied to the mating flanges of the case. The machine holds the now formed RSC’s long enough for the glue to dry and then releases the final case on to the discharge conveyor. The process is continuously repeated at up to 40 cases per minute, which makes this one of the fastest high-speed Wrap-Around Case Packers available.
