The machine is turned on and the correct length of bag material is indexed with the motorized film unwinding system over the forming mandrel where the vertical seam is made and then the horizontal seal is made to form the base of the bag or pouch. The precise amount of product (powder or solid) is dispensed from the filler into the funnel at the top of the machine. The product flows via gravity into the awaiting bag or pouch. The now filled bag or pouch is sealed with heat and trimmed to final package length and drops out of the machine on to a take away conveyor for case packing.
